Having an ISBN (to quote Thorpe Bowker Australia) is:
“The purpose of the ISBN is to establish and identify one title or edition of a title from one specific publisher and is unique to that edition, allowing for more efficient marketing of products by booksellers, libraries, universities, wholesalers and distributor.”
So, this means that once you are issued an ISBN and it is registered, the information about your book, i.e. the title, Author name, your brief bio + the blurb about your book, is entered in the ISBN database, which is continuously circulated worldwide.
Thus, this means your book..the book you have spent your sweat, tears, joys and laughter in creating – that ISBN information for that book… your book that you have spent much time, angst and joy is transmitted worldwide.
Information on your book becomes immediately available to other publishers, distributors, book stores and other businesses related to books.
So…by having an ISBN…this helps the ‘word’ of your work and presence as a worldwide author is indeed spread worldwide. to those in the book industry. Following…your book may be published in hard copy by one of those book publishers.
So…that is why an ISBN is so valuable to writers and authors.

BELLE UNDER THE SEA

There was once a beautiful girl called Belle
She had beautiful long brown hair and…wore a princess dress (Calm slow) and ballerina shoes
She liked to dance (slow)
One day she rode her horse Horsey (Fast sound galloping) to the ocean where her brown hair blew in the breeze
She went to see her friend (Happy music) under the sea
Belle sees a narwal with a large horn
When it began raining (Raining thunder crash bang loud)
Bell had an umbrella but she still got wet
Belle said to her Narwal Friend “Oh hello” (Calm music)
A nasty shark came along. (Crash!)
So they swam away really fast (Presto)
They got away
And were happy
Then the sun came out (Calm)
